Stories for Syria:
We hope you cheered on and supported the author of The Storyteller Series as she took a break from writing book 2, The Storyteller and the Dangling Girl, to focus on her fundraising project for USA for UNHCR benefiting Syrian refugees. It's titled Stories for Syria. For more information, you can go to her old fundraising page here.
For each person who donated to the fundraising page, to say thank you, Amina is working on writing a short story featuring a character with their name, or a loved one's, whichever they prefer. She will compile the stories together and publish them as a book titled Stories for Syria, coming soon. The goal was to raise $50,000, but while we only made it to $2, 315, we are very grateful for all of your support!!
Every little bit counts! Just over a $1 is enough to provide safer water to help keep three refugees alive for a day in an emergency situation. Around $15 can provide a kit for a Syrian family fleeing violence in their country to keep themselves, their clothes and their cooking and eating equipment clean for 2 months while they shelter in Jordan. This is vital for protecting their health and dignity. An investment of less than $20 can help support access to vital healthcare for a person trapped inside Syria. (USA for UNHCR)
